Game developer Iron Gate Studios revealed that the Viking game, Walheim, will be available on Xbox in 2023. At the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, the game developer revealed that the game will be available on Xbox and Xbox Game Pass in the spring of 2023. Now, the company has revealed that Walhem will be available on PC Game Pass in the fall of this year. The game was launched in February 2021. At the time, it was available on Windows via Steam. Now, Iron Gate Studios plans to make the game available on more platforms starting with PC this year, followed by Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S next year. As far as the game is concerned, Valheim is an exploration and survival game inspired by Norse mythology. The game revolves around a battle-killed Norse warrior whose spirit is taken to Valheim to kill Odin’s ancient rivals. Players need to build, conquer and survive alone or cooperatively with friends in order to bring order to the world of Walhem.
The game includes procedurally generated biomes in which players can venture deep into dark forests, climb snow-capped mountains and marvel at the lush green valleys. Iron Gate Studios, on the game’s FAQ page, states that each biome comes with its own difficulty and unique resources for crafting armor and weapons. “To conquer a biome you must defeat its corresponding Forsaken One in a brutal boss fight, then use your newly acquired items and skills to move on to the next one. Defeat all the abandoned ones and complete Odin’s mission. Conquer your land to the fullest,” says the FAQ page.
Players can also enhance their own Viking Mead halls, houses, castles using various construction interfaces. Additionally, they can also fight the mythical beasts and animal wildlife of the Tenth World in dodge and block based combat. there’s more. Players can also craft powerful weapons and armor as they progress.
As far as game play is concerned, Walheim can be played as a single player or cooperative game. It costs Rs 529 on Steam in India.
