Apple hasn’t added any editing or background removal options to the Photos app, but instead has a different trick to make the feature work. How to Remove Background from Image on iPhone

(Note: This feature only works on iPhone X with iOS 16 and above.)

1. Open photo app on your iPhone.

2. Find the image for which you want to remove the background.

3. After finding an image, long press on subject in the image and move it freely.

4. Now, Open Simultaneously Notes or Messages or Mail App on your phone.

5. Open a note/chat/new mail and drop off topic The one you just selected in the black area.

That’s all, how easily your subject will separate from the background and you will have an image without background.

6. Finally, save Photo from note/chat/mail.

This is how Apple’s AI works on the new iOS 16. The implementation of this feature is impressive. Although you can easily remove the background from any image, sometimes you can see ragged cut marks on the edge of the image. However, even though the iPhone is letting you do this in a couple of taps, it’s great and something that Android devices don’t have.
